Shame we were double booked La Magnolia kcw05 Edinburgh30 mag 2008 Having seen all the great reviews, we were really excited about staying here and booked four months in advance. We confirmed the week before we arrived but unfortunately when we turned up, our room was occupied by someone else and we were moved to another B&B which was a lot further away and facing a building site. We had to drag our bag the 1/2 mile down the road to get there (after a long day) as there was no one on hand to give us a lift. Carlo was really helpful with all the problems we had at the Blurooms (there was no one we could find there to help us with them so we had to go back to the Magnolia) which is why I felt I should give them some credit. It is in a very pretty setting and a perfect location for Sorrento and the surrounding area - it's just a shame we didn't get to stay there!

A Wonderful Find La Magnolia StomWiltshire_UK Wiltshire, UK14 ago 2008 This B&B in Sorrento is in a great location, just two minutes from Piazza Tasso and close to the train station / Sita buses. Despite its proximity to a lively square we found it to be an oasis of calm. We had a room on the first floor which was very quiet and peaceful. The room itself was a great size, well presented and very clean. The owner is helpful and friendly. He works hard to keep La Mognolia looking good! There are rooms on the ground floor which do have balconies. We moved on to Amalfi after staying in Sorrento. The hotel we moved to was more expensive, had a sea view - but, to be honest, it made us realise what a bargain La Magnolia was. The rooms certainly weren't any better in our more expensive option!
Enjoyed Stay La Magnolia RogerCaroleAustralia Australia20 dic 2008 As Sorrento was wet at this time of year, our stay was made more enjoyable in this clean, comfortable and modern room. English-speaking Manager Carlo was friendly and helpful and the hotel is very central. We would stay there again.
Double Booked - Try another B&B La Magnolia bronze32 Ventura, CA12 giu 2008 This hotel was in the perfect spot near downtown Sorrento. Unfortunately, when we got there around 2pm, our room was already occupied by someone else, despite having a confirmation from Venere.com and another directly from the hotel. The attending person called for Giovanna from the Blue Rooms who walked us the 1/4 mile or so to the west side of town.
Perfect location and friendly staff La Magnolia kmcdonough Cumming, Georgia3 giu 2008 My husband and I stayed at La Magnolia for four nights in May. The hotel is very easy to get to from the Circumvesuviana train station and from the bus terminal. The location is perfect for exploring Sorrento and the surrounding areas, and is also very close to some great restaurants! Carlo, the owner, was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and helping us with trains and buses. He suggested that we eat at a restaurant owned by one of his friends. At first we were skeptical and wondered if it might be a situation where he got a kick back for sending us to some mediocre place. We were very wrong! The place is on the beach outside of Sorrento and they will send a van to pick you up. The meal was very tasty and the most reasonably priced meal we had in Sorrento. The room was nicely furnished and is very large by European standards. There was absolutely no noise from the street outside. I highly recommend!!
