Fantastic time at the La Magnolia La Magnolia fmc208 New Zealand29 lug 2007 2/2 hanno trovato utile questa recensione I stayed 3 nights at La magnolia with my 16 year old daughter. Carlo was absolutely terrific in helping us with forward travel information. We felt very comfortable, secure and welcome at this small hotel. The location is excellent - as it is a very short walk to the train station, centre of town, quiet and clean. We had a balcony off our room which gave us an extra feeling of space - Just a great place to stay.
Great Location La Magnolia globalgirlToronto toronto31 ago 2007 1/1 hanno trovato utile questa recensione The hotel is located right near the centre, but is tucked away in the corner so that it doesn't attract all of the noise. The rooms were clean and tidy. There is a need for bigger windows as there is hardly any sunlight in the rooms. No internet access at the hotel. The garden needs work as it has not been kept up. Ovearll, a fairly good hotel to stay at while in Sorrento.
Breakfast with lemons La Magnolia sydneynick Sydney, Australia8 gen 2007 2/2 hanno trovato utile questa recensione From the breafast balcony A comfortable B&B less than 100 metres from the main square of Sorrento. Good sized room, clean bathroom, a little balcony outside where breakfast was served under the lemon trees. Bliss.

It's okay... La Magnolia lgriffith Hawaii8 nov 2008 The bathroom Our room La Magnolia La Magnolia is in a great location within walking distance of everything in Sorrento. The train station is about 1/2 mile away and the marina is either within walking distance or you can catch a bus nearby. Sorrento is a great place to stay for day trips to Pompeii, Capri, and the Amalfi coast. The rooms at La Magnolia are quaint and the bathrooms are of ample size and clean. My husband referred to the towels as tablecloths , so they weren't the absorbent terry cloth ones. The bed was firm, but comfortable. The drawbacks were that most of the rooms are right on the rather busy street and it could get a bit noisy with the traffic passing by. Also, the person at the front desk was only there in the middle of the day so we didn't see him first thing in the morning or when we came back in the late afternoon. They did not serve breakfast, but apparently offered a continental one in your room. We opted out of that since my husband needs to eat gluten-free. I'm not sure that we would recommend La Magnolia, but the price was definitely reasonable.
California Dreamer's Inn La Magnolia Bicklayers California2 nov 2008 As two California married couples starting our vacation from Switzerland to Cosenza, Italy...we hit the ground running and stayed in over 15 hotels in our 3-week trip, La Magnolia was one of our favorites! Owners and Operators Carlo & Jenny La Via could not have been more friendly, helpful and accomodating. Both of our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Carlo sent us to his friends Tasso Restaurant (a short walk around the corner) on our first night...stating to tell Marco to take care of us....and they most certainly did! The next night, he had a car pick us up, drive us to Trattoria La Baia Massalubrense , which was a wonderful, very hidden, on-the-beach, outdoor eatery, where we were personally waited on by a wonderful Italian Romeo that looked the spitting image of Tony Bennett! I'm allergic to shellfish and mushrooms (the standard @ sea-side dining), so they went out of their way to take extra special care with me while preparing the absolute best dishes for my husband and our friends. They drove us right back to our front door after dinner...a place that became our desiganted favorite! Our last morning, we decided to rent a car to continue our trip to Naples (instead of dealing with the bad train situation), but our husbands got lost from the car rental place....so Carlo jumped on his motorbike, found their location, brought them back to his B & B, helped load all of our luggage, then escorted us to the autostrada...which we also had difficulty with in spite of our GPS!! We were treated like his most important hotel guests ever! His wife Jenny fixed our breakfast both mornings and gave us the best shopping hot spot tips . I even had my hair done right next door. We could not recommend a better place for such grand service. La Magnolia is @ 14 Via Caruso in Sorrento. Phone [-]. Tell him the farmer and the bricklayer from California sent you. He's anxious to get into the Rick Steves book....as well he should!
